Itinerary Details
- Welcome to the Srinagar, the Lake City. On arrival at Srinagar Airport, being your tour of TheTourLand (TTL)
Arrive at Kushok Bakula airport Leh – 3500m above sea level. Transfer to hotel, Half Day at rest for acclimatization. After Lunch drive to Visit Shanti Stupa & Leh Palace, Later in the evening walk around local market. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel in Leh
After breakfast leave for the full day sightseeing of Indus & Zanskar river Sangam, drive along the Indus river visiting, Pathar Sahib Gurdwara and Magnetic Hill (where the cars defy gravity) Spituk Monastery (The site of Spituk was blessed by the Arhat Nyimagung) and Hall of Fame (which has a museum of the Kargil War memorabilia) Dinner and Over Night at the Hotel in Leh.
After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft) Arrive at Hundur by Afternoon. Rest of the day, Post lunch free to explore Deskit Monastery, Hunder Villages and camel Safari in Sand Dunes between Deskit and Hunder Village, Overnight stay at the camp
Early Morning after breakfast we leave for Pangong Lake through Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. Via Wari La /Shayok Route Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometre at its widest point and over 130km long, it is bisected by the international border between India and China. A few years back the government decided to open it to tourists though the lake and its surrounding is under army surveillance. Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable, overnight stay at the camp
After Breakfast leave from Pangong Lake towards Tsomoriri Lake Via Chusul and Mirak Village, The Tso moriri Lake is breeding grounds for numerous species of birds. Chief among them are the bar headed goose, found in great numbers, crested grebe, the Brahmin duck (ruddy sheldrake) and the brown headed gull. The Lake is 8 Kms. Wide and 28 Kms long. Overnight in Deluxe Camp at Karzok.
After breakfast drive to Tso Kar. (Kar Lake), It is a day where we will cross a number of passes the first of which already being passed Bara Lacha La (4955M above sea level). After coming down from Bara Lacha La climb up the Gatta Loops, a series of 21 hairpin bends carved into the mountainside and then after descending once again wound your way up the Lachung La pass (4985M above sea level). From here the road twists its way to Pang through an amazing canyon with sheer cliffs and rocky outcrops looming up on both sides of the road. Drive to Directly towards Sarchu and Night stay in camp
Today we start our journey towards to manali En-route we cross Baralacha Pass (4890m), Keylong (3350 m) & Rohtang Pass (3978 m) border of the states of Jammu & Kashmir (Ladakh) and Himachal Pradesh (Lahaul). Upon arrival in Manali we check in at our Hotel for overnight stay.
In the morning transfer to the Bus Station to board the Bus for your onward destination.
